Terms of Service
Rules for using myEmotes, creating accounts, uploading emotes, and interacting with the community.
These Terms govern your use of myEmotes and apply when you browse the site, create an account, upload emotes, download files, or use community features.
Scope Of The Service
myEmotes provides a platform for discovering, uploading, organizing, licensing, and downloading emotes and related image assets. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the service is currently offered on a free basis and does not create a paid subscription relationship.
Accounts And Access
You may need an account to upload content, manage a profile, create favorites, or use other account-restricted features. Account access is currently provided through third-party login providers such as Discord, Google, and Twitch.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your chosen login account and for ensuring that the information connected to your myEmotes account is accurate and lawful to use.
User Content And Ownership
You retain ownership of content you upload to myEmotes, except to the extent ownership does not belong to you in the first place. By uploading content, you represent that you have the necessary rights to submit it, publish it on the platform, and apply the selected license.
By uploading or publishing content on myEmotes, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, convert, optimize, moderate, display, distribute, and make the content available as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the service.
Licenses And Downloads
Each emote may be offered under a specific license chosen by the uploader or otherwise assigned on the platform. You are responsible for checking the license shown on the relevant emote page before using downloaded content.
Downloading an emote does not transfer ownership to you. It only grants the rights that follow from the displayed license and any additional law that applies.
For license explanations, see Emote Licenses.
Prohibited Content And Conduct
You may not use myEmotes to upload, publish, distribute, or promote content that:
- infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other third-party rights,
- is unlawful, deceptive, fraudulent, abusive, hateful, or sexually exploitative,
- contains malware, malicious code, or technical abuse payloads,
- impersonates another person or falsely suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation,
- is designed to scrape, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or undermine the platform.
Moderation, Review, And Enforcement
myEmotes may use automated and manual review systems to assess uploads for safety, duplication, technical compliance, and policy violations. We may approve, reject, hide, disable, de-rank, or remove content, restrict account features, or suspend accounts where this is reasonably necessary for platform safety, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or community integrity.
A failed or pending moderation result does not create a right to publication.
Public Profiles And Privacy Controls
Certain profile and content visibility settings can be managed through your account. You are responsible for the visibility choices you make. Public content may be indexed, cached, or mirrored by third parties outside our control.
Availability And Changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue individual features or the overall service where this is required for technical, legal, security, or operational reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted availability of the platform or permanent availability of any specific upload, account state, or feature.
Liability
We are liable without limitation where liability cannot legally be excluded, including for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health. In all other cases, liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for the contract, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
We are not responsible for third-party content, user conduct, or the way third parties use content after it has been lawfully downloaded or unlawfully copied outside the platform.
Termination And Account Deactivation
You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or deactivate access where necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with legal obligations, protect rights, or respond to abuse and security incidents.
Some technical backups, logs, and legal records may remain for a limited period after account deactivation as described in the Privacy Policy.
