Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about myEmotes.

Are myEmotes emotes really free to download?

Yes — every emote on myEmotes is free to download for personal use and for Discord, Twitch and Slack servers. Each upload comes with a clear license set by its creator, shown on the emote's detail page.

How do I add a downloaded emote to my Discord server?

Open Discord → Server Settings → Emoji, click "Upload Emoji" and select the downloaded file. myEmotes pre-resizes every download to fit Discord's 256 KB limit, so you can usually upload directly without extra compression.

What's the difference between an emote, an emoji and a sticker?

Emojis are small chat icons (Discord). Emotes are larger custom images used on Twitch and Discord. Stickers are full-message graphics on Discord and WhatsApp. myEmotes provides each download in the correct size for the target platform.

Can I upload my own emotes to myEmotes?

Yes — create a free account and upload through the New Emote page. You choose the license, and visitors can browse and download your work alongside the rest of the community catalogue.
